Drummoyne Sailing Club currently conducts abundant Learn to Sail courses each year, as well as a shorter 'Muck around in Boats' course that aims to offer kids a taste of sailing and spending time on the water. This is NOT a learn to sail class, but rather a program designed to improve a child’s comfort and confidence around water, as well as develop respect for the marine environment. Sailors will enjoy a variety of sailing related activities each day, including games, boat rides and swim time. Upon sailing school approval, graduates of the holiday program may enroll in our beginning sailing program a year hasty at the age of seven. Parents and carers are welcome to stay or depart their children with us they will be well cared for and have a lot of fun! These are introductory courses aimed at teaching the basics of sailing. The lessons start with basic theory and then students sail on club boats with encourage boats providing instruction and ensuring safety. The minimum ratio of encourage boats to sailing boats is 1:6. Australian Sailing membership, including logbook and upon graduation. This course is designed for all levels of sailors and will be onthewater in our RS Neva and Vision dinghies. A low ratio of participant to instructor will yield an ideal environment for beginners through to experienced sailors wishing to further prosper their sailing skills.

The Clubhouse overlooks the river and surrounding districts looking absolute North, hence the club with the million dollar view. Drummoyne Sailing Club provides a number of dinghy and boat delicate storage spaces for the use of active sailing members of the club. The Sailing Manager is responsible for ensuring that the gentle storage is managed and is working to ensure that all tenders currently stored in the racks are registered with the club and the seasonal storage fees are paid and up to date. The gentle owner must be a registered and fully paid up Sailing Member of the club, in any division. We also encourage all tender owners to ensure that their gentle is clearly marked with the name of the boat and boat ’ s HI. Participants are warned that, regardless of the precautions, which might be taken by reasonable and experienced persons, sailing can be a uncertain pursuit and participants are exposed to meaningful of property damage, physical harm and possibly death. The course includes an introduction to fundamental boat handling skills and essential knowledge that will permit participants the freedom of sailing insignificant boats with guidance from the Instructor or Coach.
