With her photography courses and coaching, Julie takes great pleasure in helping people understand the technical language of photography, and encouraging them on their journey toward taking more successful and creative photos. Julie is always thrilled to hear clients say that they were surprised they actually enjoyed their photo session! Whilst technical and creative perfection is always important, Julie places equal importance on ensuring a person's true personality is revealed through each of their images. Julie has always been interested in psychology and has an eternal fascination with people, but it came as a surprise to her to learn just how many people dreaded having their photo taken As a result Julie is passionate about building genuine rapport with the people she photographs, encouraging them to enjoy, rather than dread being photographed, resulting in much more authentic and successful portraits. Julie loves the unique creative and technical challenges that photography brings, and takes great pleasure in both taking portraits and helping others through tuition. Julie began her photographic career working for a Sydney wedding studio, before commencing Julie G Photography in late 2006, specialising in family portrait photography and business head shots. Julie studied at the Australian Centre for Photography, completing courses in Camera Craft I and II, Paddington, Studio Lighting and Portraiture.
